Jet Lag Mask
47€ for 64gms
Yes I know what you’re thinking. That shit’s pricey. However, I bought it through a discount code, no way am I paying 47 euros for a face mask I haven’t even tried.
A super-vegan, super-clean, super-everything nice you want to hear mask that transforms skin. Apparently Kim K uses it and that should be enough to convince many people (sadly, me too).
Vitamins – well what vitamins? They don’t really specify and I’ll do an ingredient breakdown in another post.
Gentle exfoliating extracts
They didn’t say anything specific so I looked quickly at the ingredient list and this is what I could make out. There is Niacinamide, chestnut seed extract, Shea butter, 3 types of ceramides, cholesterol???? HAHAHA, peppermint oil, orange peel oil, cucumber fruit extract (the last 3 are way down on the list though).
Let me know in the comments down below if you want a detailed breakdown of their ingredient list!
Consistency and smell:
This mask is thickkkkk. It smells like peppermint (which is one of the ingredients) and spreads very easily on the face. I love how it feels, seems quite luxurious actually.
I still haven’t used it as a proper mask that you remove after 10-15 minutes. I love using this as a moisturiser instead. It leaves my face baby soft and feeling nice and plump. This is hands down the best (okay, one of the best) moisturiser I have used. It’s thick, yes, but not in a bad way. You can still enjoy this in the summer time without feeling like your face is melting off like a gelato.
However, there isn’t enough product for 47€ worth! I feel like this’ll get over quickly if I use it regularly so I’m using it sparingly.
To be very honest, I haven’t seen any long-term effects. It’s a nice moisturiser to use, especially after using the Overtime mask, but it’s quite an expensive moisturiser if that’s the only use I can get out of it…I’ve heard, however, that it REALLY shows you its positive effects after a serious jetlag and acts as a pick-me-up for your skin. It literally is for jetlagged skin. Time to book some flights!
If you’re asking if this is a good product – YES YES YES IT IS. Is it worth the €€€? At first I thought it’s overpriced, but I have to admit that the next time I get a discount code from Sephora, I will buy it without hesitation. It cost me around 35 bucks and I think that’s reasonable enough. But if you don’t feel guilty spending that amount, then go for it!
45€ for 64gms
I also bought this on sale from Sephora, but I’m surprised they don’t have this in Sephora France anymore! Wtf?
It’s for dull and congested skin, whose cells work ‘Overtime’ and need a 10 minute exfoliation to reveal luminous skin. It gives a youthful boost by sweeping away dead cells.
Vitamins A, K, C, pumpkin, apricot seed powder. Just like their Jetlag mask, no bad stuff, no harmful ingredients.
Consistency and smell:
It’s quite grainy and smells like pumpkin (smells like an Indian kitchen if you ask me). It’s yellow and looks like turmeric paste (like I said, Indian kitchen).
I LOVED this mask. You’re supposed to massage it into your skin for 60 seconds and then leave it on for another 10 before washing it off and my skin looked and felt so refreshed! As if life had been given back to my skin. I don’t know how it might work on sensitive skin, but the graininess (caused by the apricot seed powder I guess) might be a teeny bit much for people with sensitive skin, but I did see some reviews of people with sensitive skin saying it didn’t bother them at all.
This is one of the masks that doesn’t leave my skin dry if I don’t apply moisturiser within 30 seconds after using it. Otherwise my skin is usually parched.
I don’t think exfoliating products are supposed to give long-term benefits. If you stop using this, you won’t get that glow and brightening effect. I follow up with the Overtime mask as a moisturiser and my skin feels baby soft.
YES. I don’t even think the price is too much for this one. This is one of the best physical exfoliators I own (well, I just own 2 so…), or let’s say, tried.
