I still can’t believe that 2019 is nearly over. It was the year I started blogging and also launched my Instagram account. It was a year full of ups and downs and my focus is 100% on the ups for now.
I joined a lovely and supportive community and discovered some wonderful products and people, I learnt more than ever about what my skin needs, I learnt new things creating content and working on my website, I exchanged some lovely words with skincare fanatics. Over the past 12 months, I’ve tried out some amazing, some okayish and some terrible products, and I’m going to be focusing only on the amazing for today – the ones that wow-ed me, the ones that left me convinced that there couldn’t be better, the ones that I will re-purchase again and again with my own money.
Wihout further ado, here is my list of the Best of 2019 – skincare, hair, body, fragrances, and more.
Youth to the People Adaptogen Soothe + Hydrate Activated Mist – Best spray nozzle ever. The first time I felt like I needed to rebuy a facial mist. I never considered them to be ‘necessary’ until I used this.
Gisou Hair Oil – No brainer for me. I will repurchase this for life. Gives my thick hair shine and tames frizz like no other.
L’Oréal Paris Botanical Shampoo and Conditioner – There are several for different hair types. I used the Dry Hair type and it was lovely, absolutely lovely. Made my hair feel fresh and healthier.
Phyto Anti-Frizz Gel – Use after shower on wet hair and then blow dry. Straight, healthy, zero-frizz hair guaranteed.
Sundazed by Byredo – Reminds me of summertime and mandarins. Base notes of jasmine, neroli and white musk and top notes of mandarins and lemons.
Guerlain Shalimar – Not everyone loves it but this is so special to me. With citrus top notes, it has base notes of freesie, jasmine, rose, tonka bean and vanilla.
Maison Margiela Coffee Break – Only used this about 10 times and I regret not buying this earlier. Top notes of coffee, milk, lavender. I know this sounds a bit strange but I promise this is absolute heaven.
Glossier Cloud Paints – I have tried 2 and need 2 more already. Spread so well, you need the smallest amount and they all give such a healthy look to your skin.
Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation – Spreads like butter, sinks in like magic and gives the healthiest glow with medium coverage. 2 botles down and many more to go.
