I have decided to invest a percentage of my income on trying some of the products that I have read a lot of positive reviews about and give them a try myself. There must be a reason why numerous clients don’t stop raving about them (clients….not just paid influencers…). The following is my wish list of beauty products for 2019. I’m sure this list will expand through the year and I’ll give an update on what worked and what not after a few weeks or months of use so stay tuned!
Biologique Recherche - P50 Lotion
I need to try out this so-called miracle before I read another rave review from a beauty blogger claiming that this stinky product changed their life. The brand isn’t very well-known but this product has a cult-following and big stars swear by its efficacy if you’re willing to look past its smell (it’s apparently reeeaaaalllllyyyy bad).
Glossier - Milky Jelly Cleanser
Glossier has clearly been one of the most talked about brands in the past year or two. I’m very thankful their products have hit the French market so that I can get my hands on the Milky Jelly Cleanser, which is supposed to be conditioning and still remove dirt and makeup.
Sounds somewhat like what Fresh’s Soy Face Cleanser claims. Click here to read the review.

Kiehl's - Nightly Refining Micro-Peeling Concentrate
Sadly, I haven’t been able to try any Kiehl’s product till now. I know….I have wanted to try this chemical exfoliant for years now. Literally. It’s been one of my most wanted, right up there on my wish lists, and yet I never got down to actually buying it. It is a tad bit pricey, but I will definitely get my hands on it this year and see if my acne scars seem any better after this.

Frank Body - The Original Body Scrub
After seeing endless advertisements on Instagram, I finally gave in to their marketing. I already have their lip scrub which I’m quite fond of. I’m curious to see how much better (if even) this is compared to my sugar and honey scrub.

Any Perfume Oil by Maison Louis Marie
After learning about this brand at work, I became very curious to try out their perfume oils. Apparently, oils last longer than water-based perfumes and are a lot more subtle.
Fenty Beauty - Gloss Bomb Universal Lip
I love Rihanna and her IDGAF attitude. I have already tried her eyeshadows and they’re of great quality and have amazing pigment. If I could, I would buy all her products to test out, but as a priority, I’m settling for the Universal Lip Gloss, which apparently, suits every skin shade and undertone!
Tom Ford - Fucking Fabulous
Yes, it really is called that. Tom Ford sells sex, let’s face it, and he sells it well. This doesn’t discount the fact that he knows his way around perfumes and this won Fragrance of the Year in 2018.
Charlotte Tilbury - Bond Girl Lipstick
I have never tried Charlotte Tilbury’s products before and I’m dying to try out this lipstick shade! I saw it for the first time in one of her videos (which I find a lot better than Youtube beauty gurus) and I was amazed by how silky and beautiful the colour looked.
Charlotte Tilbury - Filmstar Bronze and Glow Palette
Of course, I couldn’t just stop at one product by Charlotte Tilbury.
Aesop - Fabulous Face Oil
A cute name, ingredients I can’t pronounce, and a bottle that looks like it escaped from the dispensary – I need to try it out ASAP.
Aesop’s products are a bit highly priced but I want to splurge a bit this year and give their products a try.
Pixi - Glow Tonic
If I tried, I wouldn’t be able to count the number of before-and-after photos I have stumbled upon of people who have used this product. It is all over the internet and I had to give in and add it to my cart. I have it sitting on my vanity and have used it 3 times. Let’s see what happens.
